 Get A Routine
Hi, KatK!
Sounds like you have your hands full. Here's something else to try if hard playing doesn't do the trick...
Firstly, you have to realise that cats are creatures of habit and they will do well with a set routine. That means consistency in your treatment of him. Pick a place where you want your cat to sleep, preferrably a place where you can confine him, and put him to bed every night at roughly the same time. This sets a routine. No matter how much the cat complains and howls, don't give in and let him out from pity or frustration. Eventually, he'll get used to the routine and should sleep thru the night. It might be good to get him a nice, snuggly bed so he'll have a comfy place to sleep.
Maybe do a heavy play session, then do the routine bed thing. Good Luck!!
