my bird died a week ago. he was starting 2 tlk and play games, i made sure his cage was clean and that he had enough food and water does anyone how he might have died. my step dad and my mum went and got me a new birdy which makes me happier!

I am sorry to hear about your loss, espceially since it looks like you were spending time with him and training him.
Most caged bird diseases are a result of stress or malnutrition. Even though you gave him plenty of food and water, you have to make sure you are feeding the bird the proper foods and in the proper proportions.
Stress can come from many things like temperature changes or a bad diet or some type of trauma.
Birds can "hide" their symptoms until it is too late.
What kind of bird was he and what did you feed him? Is your new bird the same kind of bird?

he a budgie and i fed him bugie food and apple and tristle some thimes. my new bird is a budgie as well!!!!

You or your parents don't use aromatherapy oils in the room with the bird cage, do you?? Those oils are really bad for birds and cats!! They build up in the system and can cause liver damage and kill the pet.

I didn't think about the oils! They ARE harmful to birds and cats!
The only problem here, cati, is that you didn't describe how your bird died, so it is really hard to help you.
